Not everyone fancies skiing and the delight of Zell am See is that it's on a trainline and Salzburg is only down the line as are many other resorts so you can slope off when you feel like it.As is usual in Austrian ski resorts, the buffet room in the station is the cheapest place to eat, drink and meet the locals.close

Haus Ashling 95%
We were very pleased with the surroundings and especially vith the hostess, she was friendly and helpful. We can recommend Haus Ashling to our fiends sincerely. And if we will some day come back Zell am See, we will stay in the Haus Ashling.

2Great hosts and fabulous views. A steep walk but well worth it, very close to the centre of Zell.

Pension Klothilde 93%
Very new hotel with bright cheerfully coloured room. Top floor rooms have balcony with some mountain view, unfortunately most of the view blocked by the hotel owner's house. Hotel host was very friendly and nice. Highly recommended.

1I liked this place a lot. It was sort of a family-run bed-and-breakfast. Friendly people. Breakfast was very good. Two-minute walk from the Zell am See train station, which means it's also close to a bus stop. Interior seems recently renovated.

Youth Hostel Zell am See 89%
i had an awesome time here. i got locked out, but that was my fault. the breakfast as good, but i would not eat the dinner. it was bad. but the place is a great deal, right on the lake and i loved it there! Gabby,NYC

5Had a wonderful time here. My room was facing the mountains on one side and the lake on another, as most rooms are. There is a very nice sunny courtyard where people can laze in the sun or read. The receptionist was wonderful and even though I was by myself, I was fully entertained with the array...

Live bands play here most nights. The drinks menu includes a large selection of cocktails, beers and spirits.
Great place to hang out apres ski! Lots of fun people and great bands that play each night! Glad I was there!
